Today's world can be a incredibly crazy. It seems there are so many insane people and groups shouting at each other. Here's a quick reminder to you and myself that we don't have to play the game presented to us. We are independent minded and rational beings if we take the time to consider, reflect, and choose with an aim and desire to know reason and truth.
Today issues, debates, and positions are often presented as two options: one completely for and one completely against. I won't go into specific debates but I'm sure you can think of some that are relevant to you! But remember just because one path is crazy that does not necessarily make the other way reasonable. You can certainly see two reasonable but different paths. But, you can most certainly have two different but crazy options before you.
Do not forget that while two crazy groups engage, we can look beyond this and find the path of reason, justice, and basic sensibilities. Sometimes the two groups are screaming so loud and make such a scene that we can get caught up in their debates. Pause. Look around. If you are standing in an insane asylum then the best path is not to descend into the crazy tactics of the patients. The best option is to turn your back towards the insanity, look for a window where the light shines in and leave that place. Among the insane, the path of clarity and truth can be hidden. Look for the hidden path. Few are walking on it but at the end 'the grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it...See what?...White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.'
